THE National Daily
is a modern newspaper that has
helped raise the standard of
media communication within the
frontiers of the mores and ethos
of the journalistic profession
in
Nigeria . This vibrant
newspaper commenced its
operations in October 2006.
Published by Paradigm
Communications Limited,
National Daily is fast
becoming the newspaper of choice
for balanced and well-researched
reports and information as it
was designed, first and
foremost, to shape the opinion
of its readers in building a new
culture of change and
development in Nigeria .
Renowned for its fearless,
investigative, objective and
credible journalism,
National Daily's target
readers cut across the elite and
other classes of the society,
including decision-makers in the
public and
private sectors of the
nation’s economy, dons in
secondary and tertiary
institutions, undergraduates and
graduates as well as the
burgeoning urban literati.
At the helm of affairs in this
great newspaper, is Mr Sylvester
Ebhodaghe, a young, versatile
and experienced media strategist
and skilled administrator, who,
prior to his current assignment
as Executive Editor/CEO in the
National Daily,
had made his mark at
The Guardian
newspaper and at the
National Standard
magazine. Mr. Ebhodaghe is also
the Managing Director/CEO of
Paradigm Communications Limited,
publishers of National
Daily.
National Daily
also boasts of a very sound and
resourceful
Editorial Board, headed
by Barrister Chris Akiri, a
renowned columnist and social
commentator.
IT-driven and fiercely
development-oriented,
National Daily aspires
to become Nigeria’s first truly multi-media newspaper house and has put
in place all the necessary mechanisms to achieve that aim. The paper’s circulation at the end of its first year of operation was
50,000 copies, with a pass-on rate of 1 to 10. It covers much of the
country's geo-political zones and major cities, including Lagos , Abuja , Port Harcourt ,
Kano , Kaduna , Jos, Enugu , Owerri, Ibadan , Lokoja , Benin City and Calabar. It also has a planned 50 per cent growth in circulation by every other quarter.
We strongly believe that this is
achievable in view of Nigeria’s
huge literate population and of
the uniqueness of our product,
the National Daily,
which, though deriving from a
single-minded and serious-minded
approach, is nevertheless soft
in its flavour
